Located on the western part of the Montreal Island, Beaconsfield is somewhat different from many of the cities on the island. It is mostly English speaking, which is unique in its own right. The city is relatively large by island standards, with almost 20,000 people living there at current standing. Beaconsfield is one of the areas on Montreal Island that is expanding quickly, though many residents are hoping to stop this quick expansion in order to preserve some of the natural beauty housed there.


It is a place where sports are important and although most of the area is dominated by homes, there are many apartments, as well. These are downtown Montreal style places, which gives the city of Beaconsfield a really modern feel.

When visiting Beaconsfield, people will be able to enjoy quite a few good restaurants. The city is known for its diverse selection of different foods and the restaurants there are of great quality on the whole.
